Shock Home Games Broadcast over streaming video via internet

Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock are pleased to announce that they have come to an agreement with internet access provider Webband, VOD SportsNet and the Liberty Lake Internet Exchange to offer live streaming video over the internet for all six remaining home games. The first ever Internet coverage for the Shock starts this weekend, Saturday at 7:00 pm PST, as the Spokane Shock, take on the 2nd place Bakersfield Blitz, This game will be available free of charge.

Owner and CEO, Brady Nelson said "the Shock are very excited to offer streaming video to sports fans around the world."

"Streaming video is an emerging market opportunity. Sports fans have become accustomed to downloading sports content and streaming video. There is demand from sports fans and arena football fans nationwide to access more sports content. We feel this is a step toward fulfilling that demand from arena football fans that want to watch arena football and have no way to watch it. This is just the start of what we will offer fans of the Shock and af2. "

"Another benefit of live streaming video on the Internet is that it allows fans around the league to interact with us and each other through our website and message board."

Fans can access the streaming video at www.spokaneshock.com and clicking on the link to watch the live streaming video of the game. A download of a media player may be required in order to watch the game. The link to watch the game will be posted by 5:00 pm May 5.

The video will be taken from a live feed straight from the Television broadcast team with Mike Boyle on play-by-play, color commentating by former Super Bowl MVP Mark Rypien, and sideline reporter Mike Peterson.
