Spokane Signees Jarien Moreland and Kyle Fischer

SPOKANE, Washington (November 30, 2015) - The Spokane IFL franchise has signed a pair of offensive linemen in Jarien Moreland and Kyle Fischer.
Fischer (OL, 6-6, 320, Vanderbilt) joins Spokane for his first season as a member of the IFL. Last season, Fischer joined Spokane for the 2015 AFL training camp before going on to spend time with the CFL's B.C. Lions. Fischer played his collegiate career at Vanderbilt University where he started 30 consecutive games for the Commodores over his final three seasons. Over his five-year collegiate career at Vanderbilt, Fischer saw action at multiple positions on the offensive line and was co-captain of the team during his senior season. Fischer is originally from Columbia, South Carolina where he played his prep career at Spring Valley High School.
Moreland (OL, 6-4, 320, Southern Illinois) returns to Spokane for his first season as a member of the IFL. He began the 2015 AFL season in Spokane before being traded to the Tampa Bay Storm. Moreland began his collegiate career at the University of Central Florida and then transferred to Florida A&M where he played three seasons. After graduating, he joined Southern Illinois for his final season of eligibility in 2013. He started the final ten games for the Salukis as a senior before spending time with the CFL's B.C. Lions. Moreland is originally from Belle Glade, Florida where he played his prep career at Glades Central High School.
"Jarien Moreland and Kyle Fischer are both big, physical, and athletic linemen that fit our offensive philosophy very well," said Spokane Head Coach Adam Shackleford. "With each having professional football experience, we are looking forward to both of them playing a valuable roles for us this season."
