Fresno Falcons News Release

FRESNO, Calif. —The Fresno Falcons have ushered in 2003 the same way they did 2002—with a winning streak and an action-packed, three-game set of hockey games at home! The Falcons will complete their first home stand of the calendar year this weekend, when the WCHL-leading Idaho Steelheads come to town on Friday and Saturday night, and the Long Beach Ice Dogs visit on Sunday afternoon.

Get there early for the 7:30 p.m. face-off tonight and be one of the first 1,500 fans through the doors and you will receive a limited-edition Falcons tankard mug, courtesy of Coors Light. Just before the game, The Maurice Lacroix/Edmonds Jewelers/Fotech Player of the Month Award will be presented to the Falcons' most outstanding player during the month of December. Fans will also be treated to a karate demonstration from New Era Martial Arts and a bruising round of Sumo Hockey, presented by Execu-tech Communications. Stick around until the end of the game and you'll be rewarded with special coupons on the way out the doors, courtesy of Bob's Big Boy in Fresno.

Saturday night will conclude the two-game series against Idaho, and the first 1,500 fans to arrive that evening will get a Falcons tote bag, courtesy of Weinerschnitzel. Three lucky fans will have the chance to win a brand new truck in the Hedrick's Hallowell Chevrolet Truck Shootout, and the Old Fresno Hofbrau will be hosting a post-game party immediately after the game. The home stand concludes on Sunday evening when the Ice Dogs return to Selland Arena at 5 p.m. The first 1,000 fans in the arena will get a Falcons "Department of Defense" poster, courtesy of Jostens, and the Valley Air District.

Individual tickets are still available for all three games through all Ticketmaster outlets or at www.ticketmaster.com, as well as in person at the Selland Arena Box Office. For more information, please call the Falcons office at 485-PUCK!
