Shaun Sutter Assigned to the Chiefs

Johnstown, PA- The Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League announced today that the have assigned forward Shaun Sutter to the Johnstown Chiefs.

Sutter, 22, played in three scoreless games for the Flames this season. The 6'1, 175 LBS native of Sylvan Lake, Alberta is no stranger to the Chiefs having played in 34 games last season, scoring 13 goals, and 20 PTS.

Sutter was a fourth round draft pick (102nd overall) of the Calgary Flames in 1998. He played junior hockey in the Western Hockey League for the Calgary Hitmen, Lethbridge Hurricanes, and Medicine Hat Tigers. He is the son of Chicago Blackhawks Head Coach Brian Sutter.

Sutter will join the Chiefs when his immigration paperwork is finalized.

The Chiefs are in Peoria tonight and Saturday. Both games are at 8:00 p.m. Sunday night the Chiefs are at Dayton for a 6:00 p.m. game. The Chiefs return to the War Memorial Friday night, January 24th, when they take on the Reading Royals at 7:30 p.m.
