Wild Things to close regular season with homestand
August 27, 2004 - Frontier League (FL)
Washington Wild Things News Release
The Wild Things will host the Chillicothe Paints in a three game homestand Saturday through Monday (August 28-30). These are final games of the Frontier League's 2004 regular season. Saturday's game (August 28) will be aired on Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh at 6:05 p.m. During that game, the Wild Things will pay tribute to the Washington Red Birds, a minor league team that called Washington Pennsylvania home in 1939 (http://www.washingtonwildthings.com/news.html).
Since the Wild Things are the Eastern Division Champions, they claim home field advantage in the 2004 Division Playoff Series ( A Best of Five Series). The first two games will be played at Falconi Field September 1 and 2. If a fifth game is necessary, it will be contested at Falconi Field September 5.
Radio coverage for the games can be found on WJPA 95.3 FM, Froggy 940 AM, WOMP 1290 AM, WSTV 1340 AM and on www.nsnsports.com.
