
Wild Things sweep Kings

Washington Wild Things News Release
The Washington Wild Things (52-26), presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, defeated the Kalamazoo Kings 7-1 at Homer Stryker Field in Kalamazoo, MI Thursday. The Wild Things remain atop of the East Division with six straight victories.
The Wild Things scored first in the second inning when Mike Arbinger and Randy McGarvey each singled and David Reaver singled scoring both Arbinger and McGarvey.
Kalamazoo, trailing by five runs, scored in the sixth inning when Justin McClain doubled and drove in Pete Pirman.
Mike Arbinger hit a solo home run in the seventh inning. Arbinger went three for five with two singles a home run and one RBI.
In the eighth inning David Reaver hit a solo home run. Reaver went three for four with a single, a double, a home run, and three RBI.
Wild Thing RHP Matt Brumit (5-1) pitched a complete game, allowing six hits, one run, walking one, and striking out seven.
The Wild Things return to Falconi Field to meet the West Division's first place team, the Rockford Riverhawks Friday when first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Fans will be treated to fireworks following the game. Tickets are available at the Falconi Field Box Office.
