
Wild Things Sweep Double Header in Kalamazoo

Washington, PAâ The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, took both halves of the double header versus the Kings of Kalamazoo at Homer Striker Field Monday night. The Wild Things beat the Kings 2-1 in game two.
The game was a duel between the two pitchers, Ryan Ewin (Wild Things) and Ryan Jamison (Kings), who served up a scoreless game through five innings.
Ewin pitched six innings â (a perfect 3 2/3 innings and 5 2/3 hitless innings) The victory takes Ewin to 1-1, and the save was Jim Popp's first for the Wild Things (Popp was perfect in relief).
Jamison (2-1), who took the loss, pitched 6 2/3 innings. Jake Brooks took the mound with the two-out walk Coakley was walked and Beirnbaum had a base hit . Greenwell hit a two run double, scoring Dorn who pinch ran for Coakley and Beirnbaum, taking a 2-1 lead over the Kings.
The Wild Things return to Falconi Field to face off against the Chillicothe Paints Tuesday. Fans can pay what they weigh for general admission tickets, courtesy of Curves in Washington and Canonsburg. The first 1,000 ladies through the gates will receive a tote bag, courtesy of Smirnoff Ice. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Tickets are still available.
