Windy City ThunderBolts News Release
In the final game of their three game series with the Gateway Grizzlies, the Windy City Thunderbolts swept the Grizzlies with a 7-1 victory in today's day game. ThunderBolts starting pitcher Aaron Bolton effectively shut down the Grizzlies, limiting them to just one run and six hits over seven innings while striking out 3 and earning his first win of the season. Grizzlies starting pitcher Kevin Lee was roughed up early and often, as the ThunderBolts scored all seven runs in the first four innings of play. The ThunderBolts offense provided seven runs and 13 hits, as they move to 14-7 and extend their 7-game winning streak. P-Nut Williams extended his league-leading hitting streak to 17 games going 1 for 3 on a single in the bottom of the third. The official attendance for tonight's game was 1,697. Tomorrow the Windy City Thunderbolts travel to Columbia, Missouri to play the Mid-Missouri Mavericks and return Friday for a weekend series against the Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks.
