
WHL Cup Day 2 Recap: Saskatchewan Tops Alberta in Overtime

Four Moose Jaw Warriors prospects squared off on Thursday night at the 2023 WHL Cup in Red Deer, AB.
William Degagne, Carson Deichert, Davey Fisher and Team Saskatchewan came out on top, beating Aaron Sawatzky and Team Alberta, 4-3, in overtime.
Dayne Beuker, a Lethbridge Hurricanes draft pick, scored twice, including the overtime winner, in the win for Team Saskatchewan.
Saskatchewan now sits at 1-1-0-0, while Alberta drops to 1-0-1-0 in the round robin.
Micah Davidson and Team British Columbia improved to 2-0-0-0 with a big 7-2 win over Team Manitoba on Thursday afternoon.
The round robin closes with Team Saskatchewan facing off with Team Manitoba at 4:15 p.m. and Team Alberta taking on Team B.C. at 7 p.m. on Friday.
