Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats Hockey Club, in partnership with 22Fresh, is pleased to announce that they will host their Cancer Awareness Game on Friday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m., against the Saskatoon Blades at the Brandt Centre.
The Pats will be wearing themed jerseys designed by 22Fresh for this game, which will be auctioned off online in the days leading up to October 27. Following the game, any winning bidders in attendance will receive their jersey directly from the player on the ice.
"We are thrilled to once again partner up with 22Fresh and join forces in raising funds in support of a cure for cancer," Pats CEO Gord Pritchard said. "This collaboration and game night focused on cancer awareness provides a platform to share stories of triumph, acknowledge those impacted by this terrible disease, while at the same time raise money for cancer research through the sale of speciality themed jerseys and merchandise. It is an initiative we are truly proud of as an organization."
Additionally, the Pats and 22Fresh have partnered on limited edition merchandise. The themed t-shirts and hoodies will go on sale starting Wednesday, October 25 in-store only at the Pats Store and in the store at 22Fresh.
Net proceeds from the jersey auction and all themed merchandise will go to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan.
"For the second consecutive year, 22Fresh stands strong in its commitment to community and collective action," said 22Fresh President and CEO Kip Simon. "Embracing this spirit, we are thrilled to reveal our collaboration with the Regina Pats Hockey Club for another significant cancer awareness night. We take great pride in joining forces with this esteemed organization and firmly believe that such collaborative initiatives play a vital role in the battle against cancer."
The themed jersey auction will go live at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24. The link to place your bid will be announced on Tuesday. The auction will close on Friday, October 27 at 8:00 p.m.
Friday's game will also include a feature our new "I Fight For" wall located across from the Pats Store where all fans will have the chance to honour a loved one affected by cancer.
There will also be a 22Fresh pop-up tent setup above Section 114 during Saturday's game that will be selling limited quantities of the themed merchandise.
This game will be the 15th Cancer Awareness game for the Pats. Over the last 14 years, the hockey club has raised more than $130,000 in the fight against cancer.
