Oil Kings Forward Aidan Litke Will Miss Remainder of the Season Due to Injury

(Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Oil Kings announced today that 2003-born forward Aidan Litke will require surgery to repair an injury and will miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

Litke, 20, was in his final season in the WHL and first with the Oil Kings after the Club acquired him last spring from the Portland Winterhawks.

Originally a sixth round pick of the Winterhawks from the 2018 WHL Prospects Draft, the Winnipeg, MB product would go on to suit up in 132 career games in the WHL and recording 78 points (35G, 43A). Additionally, he played in 13 career WHL post-season games and tallied four points (1G, 3A).

This season, he was leading the Oil Kings in scoring having registered 11 points (4G, 7A) in nine games prior to being injured.

The Edmonton Oil Kings next home game is Sunday, October 22 at 4:00 P.M. when they take on the Seattle Thunderbirds at Rogers Place.
