Oil Kings Acquire Forward Skyler Bruce from Vancouver

(Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Oil Kings have acquired 2003-born forward Skyler Bruce from the Vancouver Giants, the Club announced today.

In exchange, the Giants will receive 2003-born defenceman Wyatt Wilson who the Oil Kings claimed off WHL Waivers earlier in the day from the Wenatchee Wild.

Bruce, 20, has tallied two points (1G, 1A) in three games so far this season with the Giants.

The Winnipeg, MB product was originally drafted by the Kootenay ICE in the second round, 29th overall, of the 2018 WHL Prospects Draft.

In 169 career WHL games, split between the ICE and Giants, the 5-foot-10, 168-pound forward has recorded 96 points (35G, 61A), 42 penalty minutes and a +30 plus/minus rating. Bruce also has 18 games of WHL post-season experience to go along with three career post-season points (2G, 1A).

Earlier today, the Oil Kings announced that 2003-born forward Aidan Litke will miss the remainder of the season due to injury.

The Edmonton Oil Kings next home game is Sunday, October 22 at 4:00 P.M. when they take on the Seattle Thunderbirds at Rogers Place.
