January 22, 2013 - Major League Soccer (MLS) News Release
VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC selected six players in the 2013 Major League Soccer Supplemental Draft on Tuesday. The club used their first two picks on University of Notre Dame midfielders Adam Mena (10th overall) and Michael Rose (11th overall). Harvard University striker Brian Rogers was picked in the second round (29th overall) followed by Duquesne University centre back Adam Clement (31st overall). Striker Joshua Patterson - also from Duquesne - was selected in the third round (48th overall) and Amherst College striker Alejandro Sucre rounded out the picks in the fourth round (67th overall).
Mena, 23, looks to enter the professional ranks following five years at the University of Notre Dame.
