
Whitecaps FC Re-Sign Midfielders J.C. Ngando and Ralph Priso to New Contracts

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Wednesday that midfielders J.C. Ngando and Ralph Priso have both agreed to new contracts through 2025, with club options for 2026 and 2027.
"We're happy to have agreed on new contracts with J.C. and Ralph," said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps FC sporting director. " J.C. enjoyed a productive loan in Las Vegas where he was able to earn regular competitive minutes, while Ralph really grew in his role and progressed well during his first season at the club. We look forward to helping both players continue in their development."

Ngando spent the 2024 season on loan with USL Championship side Las Vegas Lights FC, starting all 38 of his appearances, tallying two goals as well as five assists. The the 25-year-old midfielder received league recognition for his performances during the USL Championship regular season, as he was named to the 2024 All-League Second Team. He also helped the Lights reach the Western Conference Final in the 2024 USL Cup Playoffs for the first time in the club's history.
Born in Douala, Cameroon and raised in France, Ngando was originally acquired by Vancouver after being selected fifth overall in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. In his first season as a professional, Ngando spent time with both the first team and Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2). With the first team, Ngando started three matches and made 14 appearances across all competitions, while with WFC2 he tallied a goal and three assists across 13 appearances in MLS NEXT Pro action.

Eight starts, 20 appearances and two assists in first season with Whitecaps FC
Two-time Canadian Championship winner in 2020 with Toronto FC and 2024 with Whitecaps FC
102 appearances across all competitions at the professional club level
After being acquired via a trade with Colorado Rapids in March, Priso went on to start eight of his 20 appearances across all competitions in his first season with the 'Caps. Three of those appearances came in the TELUS Canadian Championship, as he helped the team claim their third consecutive Voyageurs Cup. In addition, the 22-year-old native of Toronto, Ontario tallied two assists and featured in seven of the final nine regular season matches of 2024.
Prior to making the move to Vancouver, Priso made 36 appearances across all competitions for the Rapids. He also spent time with Toronto FC, making 33 appearances across all competitions after signing a Homegrown contract in October 2020.
TRANSACTION: On December 11, 2024, Whitecaps FC re-sign midfielders J.C. Ngando and Ralph Priso to new contracts through 2025, with club options for 2026 and 2027.
