
Whitecaps FC Loan Homegrown Goalkeeper Isaac Boehmer to Pacific FC

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Thursday the club has loaned homegrown goalkeeper Isaac Boehmer to Canadian Premier League (CPL) side Pacific FC until the end of the 2021 season.
Boehmer, 19, was signed to a first-team contract in August 2020 after coming through the club's youth ranks starting at the Okanagan Academy Centre. The product of Okanagan Falls, British Columbia was selected to join the 'Caps MLS Academy in September of 2018. In two seasons playing in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy league, Boehmer made 14 starts with the U-19 team. In 2020, he joined the Whitecaps FC Development Squad.
In his youth, Boehmer played with Pinnacles FC in the Okanagan. In February 2016, the young goalkeeper experienced a training stint in Germany with Bundesliga club FC Schalke 04's youth academy. He also spent time playing with Thompson Okanagan FC in the BC Soccer Premier League.
Led by former 'Caps centre back Pa-Modou Kah, Pacific FC currently sits first in CPL.
Boehmer is the ninth Whitecaps FC player currently on loan, joining Matteo Campagna (York United FC) in CPL, with Jasser Khmiri (San Antonio FC), Gianfranco Facchineri (San Diego Loyal SC) and David Egbo (Phoenix Rising FC) in USL Championship, as well as Damiano Pecile (Venezia FC), Derek Cornelius (Panetolikos FC), Theo Bair (Hamarkameratene) and Simon Colyn (Jong PSV) at European sides,
