
Wheat Kings Edge ICE 7-5 in High Scoring Affair

Brandon, MB - A total of 12 goals were scored at Westoba Place on Saturday night as the Brandon Wheat Kings defeated the ICE 7-5.
Wheat Kings forward Baron Thompson potted a hat trick while Cole Reinhardt (x2), Luka Burzan and Stelio Mattheos added the others. Goaltender Jiri Patera stopped 17-of-22 shots.
The ICE received two goals from Jaeger White and singles from Jakin Smallwood, Austin Schellenberg and Carson Lambos. For Lambos, his first WHL goal came in the final two minutes of the first period on the power play. Goaltender Curtis Meger blocked 27-of-33 shots.
With the loss, the ICE finish its six-game road stretch with a record of 2-3-1-0.
