Middle Match Madness Dating back to the 2013-14 season, the Royals are 11-3-0-0 in the second contest of three games in three nights. The club will conclude their three-in-three set tomorrow in Everett against the Silvertips.

Teddy Bear Toss: The Royals competed in their fourth teddy bear toss game of the season with tonight. Previously, the team had played in Prince George (December 2nd), in Vancouver (December 8th) and at home on December 15th against the Giants. This ties them with the Kamloops Blazers for the most teddy bear games played this season.

Milestone Watch: With an assist tonight against Seattle, Royals' defenceman Scott Walford is now one point away from reaching 100 career points in the WHL. The native of Coquitlam, BC has posted 14 goals and 85 assists in 207 career regular season games, all with the Royals.

Birthday Boys: Royals' forwards Igor Martinov (1999) and Tyus Gent (2001) both celebrated their birthdays today.

Island Connection: Thunderbirds' forward Payton Mount is a product of Victoria, BC. The winger was selected by Seattle in the first round, 19th overall, 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.

Coming up: Following tonight's contest against the Thunderbirds, the Royals will wrap up their three games in three night set by travelling to Everett tomorrow afternoon to face the Silvertips at 4:05 p.m.
