Westchester Knicks to Host School Day Tomorrow

WHITE PLAINS - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, will take on the Ft. Wayne Mad Ants at the Westchester County Center for the team's annual School Day tomorrow, December 2 at 11:00 a.m. The day's activities for participating schools are highlighted by a special appearance by Aija Mayrock.

At age 16, Aija Mayrock began writing The Survival Guide to Bullying with the hope of helping young people who might face the same bullying struggles she faced growing up. The guide includes short quizzes, survival tips, and "roems" (rap poems), the latter of which especially helped Mayrock cope with bullying.

Participating schools were asked to write their own "roems" in advance of School Day. Two students will be selected to share their "roems" center court during the game tomorrow, while Aija will perform a new "roem" of her own during halftime.

Tickets are still available at Ticketmaster outlets and the Westchester County Box Office.
