ALTOONA, Pa - Wednesday's 7:05 p.m. Altoona Curve game vs. the New Britain Rock Cats (AA - Minnesota Twins) has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a twinight doubleheader on Thursday (tomorrow) at 5:05 p.m. Gates will open at 4:05 p.m. The teams will play a pair of seven-inning contests.
Thursday's game will feature nationally recognized promotion "Land of Lincoln" where fans can enjoy great ticket, food and merchandise specials that feature deals that incorporate the five dollar bill and the penny in honor of the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Curve starter Brad Lincoln (1-4, 2.2) will also toe the rubber for the Altoona Curve in game one of the double-header he will be opposed by righty Matt Fox (5-2, 5.64). To coincide with the great value fans can experience on Thursday, the opportunity to register for a autographed gift pack of items autographed by Brad Lincoln will be available during the game for fans. In the night cap, southpaw Kyle Bloom (0-4, 3.52) will start for Altoona while the 'Cats counter with RHP Carlos Guitierrez (1-0, 5.40).
Any fans holding a ticket to Wednesday's game can exchange those tickets for tickets to any remaining 2009 Curve home game for equal or lesser value based on availability.
