Way and Karr Push Lemurs to Victory

Laredo, TX - Matt Way earned his second complete game shutout of the season, as the Laredo Lemurs beat the Grand Prairie Airhogs 5-0 Sunday night at Uni-Trade Stadium.

Way went nine complete, giving up five hits, while striking out six batters. Way threw 132 pitches in the win, retiring the side in order four times. Matt now moves to 5-3 on the season and leads the lemurs pitching staff in wins and complete games.

Palmer Karr Jr. supplied the offense for the Lemurs with a three run blast in the second to put the Lemurs up 3-0. Palmer would cash in again in the sixth with a base hit to drive on Javier Brito four his fourth RBI of the night to make it 4-0 Lemurs. The Lemurs would pick up another run in the seventh to make 5-0.

The win for the Lemurs breaks a five game losing streak and it also breaks up an eight game losing streak against the Airhogs.
