Fargo-Moorhead 3, Kansas City 1
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks win their sixth straight as they beat the Kansas City T-Bones, 3-1. Fargo-Moorhead starting pitcher Tyler Herron was terrific en route to his third win of the season. Herron went seven strong innings allowing only one earned run on six hits while striking out eight batters. RedHawks DH Ryan Delgado led the way offensively as he went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. Fargo-Moorhead leadoff hitter Zach Penprase collected two hits as well. In the loss for Kansas City, CF Spiker Helms accounted for the team's only run of the game, a solo home run in the eighth inning.
Sioux City 3, St. Paul 2
Sioux City rallied from a 2-1 deficit with a run in the eighth and ninth innings to beat the St. Paul Saints, 3-2. St. Paul jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning thanks to a RBI double by 1B Ole Sheldon. The Explorers would tie it at 1-1 in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by LF Yusuke Inoguchi. The Saints would regain the lead at 2-1 in the sixth on a solo home run from leadoff hitter Adam Frost. However, that would not last long as Sioux City tied at 2-2 on a RBI double by 1B Kris Sanchez in the eighth inning and scored the go ahead run in the ninth on a wild pitch. Sanchez and 2B Mike Murphy each had two hits to pace the Sioux City offense.
Winnipeg 7, Sioux Falls 1
The Winnipeg Goldeyes scored five big runs in the fifth inning to break open a tight game and beat the Sioux Falls Pheasants, 7-1. Winnipeg 3B Yurendell de Caster went 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI while DH Jon Weber and 1B Josh Mazzola chipped in with two hits apiece. CF Chris Roberson also scored two runs in a 1-for-4 day for the Goldeyes. Winnipeg starting pitcher Chris Salamida tossed a solid game as he allowed no earned runs on six hits in six innings of work. With the win, Salamida is now 2-2 on the season. For Sioux Falls in defeat, 2B Joe Anthonsen, 1B Cesar Nicolas and DH Jake Taylor each had two hits.
Lincoln 5, Gary SouthShore 3
Jimmy Rohan delivered a two-out, go-ahead hit in the ninth inning as the Lincoln Saltdogs held on for a 5-3 win over the Gary SouthShore RailCats. With two strikes and two outs in the top of the ninth, Rohan grounded a single into center field to score David Espinosa and give the Lincoln a 4-3 lead. They would tack on another on a RailCats error. Rohan finished the game 2-for-4 with two runs and a RBI. Joe Spiers went 2-for-4 with a run and RBI and Asif Shah had a three-hit game. Saltdogs reliever Brandon Cooney pitched a scoreless eighth for the win, his third of the season.
