Milwaukee Wave News Release

(Milwaukee, WI) – The Milwaukee Wave, Wisconsin's premier soccer organization which includes the Wave indoor (Major Indoor Soccer League) and Wave United outdoor (A-League) teams has announced dates and locations for the 2004 Wave Summer Soccer Camp Program. The Wave Summer Camp program will offer 56 instructional sessions to youth players throughout the summer months, including camps in the surrounding Milwaukee area, Madison, Green Bay and Libertyville, Illinois. The Wave Soccer Camp Program, one of the largest and most highly regarded youth soccer camp programs in North America, is expected to welcome nearly 5,000 children to its camp sessions from June 14-August 23.

Wave Head Coach / Vice-President of Soccer Operation Keith Tozer (the winningest coach is the history of North American indoor soccer) will once again serve as the overall camp director. The camp staff will include Wave United Head Coach Art Kramer, Assistant Coach Steve Morris and the rest of the combined roster for the Wave / Wave United squads. Among the featured site directors are Wave Team Captain and all-time leading scorer Michael King, All-Star forward Todd Dusosky, and several other fan favorites such as defender Pat White, goalkeeper Dan Green, and midfielder Marcelo Fontana.

"I'm extremely excited about the upcoming 2004 summer soccer camp program," said Tozer. "As we continue to grow attendance-wise and program-wise, we are striving to incorporate the best staff available. With the returning staff from last year in addition to our indoor and outdoor roster of players, we feel that we have assembled the best summer camp staff in the country."

Wave soccer camps provide a unique opportunity for youth players to not only learn from the pros, but to get to know them as well. "Young players don't often get a chance for this type of professional instruction," said Tozer, who is now in his 12th season with the Wave. "What makes our camps unique is that the campers will actually get to know the instructors on a personal level by the end of the week. That's something that rarely happens in other sports."

The Wave Summer Soccer Camp Program also features the second annual Wave European Soccer Academy (July 23-August 1), a ten-day trip to London, England that includes instruction from Queens Park Rangers, one of the most storied franchises in English professional soccer. Wave legend Michael King will accompany the group to London, where the team will participate in matches against English players, attend some professional games, and sightsee in one of the most exciting cities in the world.

In addition to individual instruction, each camper will receive a hand-stitched Spalding soccer ball and a Milwaukee Wave Camp T-shirt. Each camper will also receive a Wave United season pass good for one ticket to all regular season home games (new to this year's camp program), a FREE ticket to the Wave 2004-05 Home Opener at the U.S. Cellular Arena, and a FREE ticket to the Milwaukee Brewers game on August 21, 2004 at Miller Park as part of the 2004 Camp Reunion Outing.
