April 6, 2025 - Oceanside, CA - For the second straight year, the Milwaukee Wave and Kansas City Comets would end up meeting in the playoffs, and the highly anticipated match did not disappoint once again. Milwaukee was hoping to avenge their overtime defeat last season at the hands of the Comets, while the team hailing from Independence, Missouri, was hoping to get back to the Ron Newman Cup Finals, where they lost to the eventual 2 time defending Champion Chihuahua Savage. April 3, 2025 - The 7-time champion Milwaukee Wave finished the 2024-2025 Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) regular season with a record of 14 wins, 8 losses, and 2 overtime losses; and were able to secure the 5th spot in the MASL Playoffs being held at in Oceanside, California, April 4-6.

March 30, 2025 - Milwaukee, WI - The St. Louis Ambush entered the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Sunday, hoping to punch their tickets to the Ron Newman Cup Playoffs after riding a 5 game win streak that would see the Ambush defeat the Wave twice in previous meetings in St Charles, Missouri. The Wave however, were hoping to play the role of spoilers, as a Wave victory, coupled with a Tacoma Stars victory would spoil the party for the Ambush.
