Milwaukee is 9-0 at home and 6-1 versus Central Division opponents this season. However, Milwaukee's lone divisional loss came against the Comets (an 8-6 defeat in Kansas City on January 16).

Monterrey Fury at Cleveland Force
CSU Convocation Center, 7:35 p.m. ET
A losing streak (four games for Cleveland, two games for Monterrey) will come to an end for one of these teams on Friday. Monterrey leads the series between these two teams 2-0. The most recent meeting between the clubs resulted in a 5-4 Fury win in Monterrey on December 14.

San Diego Sockers at St. Louis Steamers
Family Arena, 1:05 p.m. CT
The Steamers hope to avenge an 8-1 loss to San Diego on December 14. Entering the week, San Diego is only 2-6 on the road, while St. Louis is 3-7 at Family Arena.


Baltimore Blast at Philadelphia KiXX
Wachovia Spectrum, 7:35 p.m. ET
These Eastern Division rivals will meet for the fourth time this season and the second time at the Wachovia Spectrum. Philadelphia won the first two games by a combined score of 14-7, while the Blast earned an 8-4 victory in Baltimore in the most recent meeting of the two clubs.

Dallas Sidekicks at Kansas City Comets
Kemper Arena, 7:35 p.m. CT
The Comets welcome Dallas for what will be their third game in four days. Fortunately for the Comets, the Sidekicks possess the worst road record of any divisional leader at 3-6. This will be the first match between these two clubs since a 9-8 Sidekicks victory on December 31; Dallas leads the season series 3-0.

Philadelphia KiXX at Milwaukee Wave
U.S. Cellular Arena, 1:00 p.m. CT
The KiXX are hoping to be the first team to beat Milwaukee at home this season; the Wave is a perfect 9-0 at U.S. Cellular Arena in 2003-04. Philadelphia defeated Milwaukee in their only meeting thus far, a 6-4 win in Philadelphia on December 12.

San Diego Sockers at Cleveland Force
CSU Convocation Center, 3:05 p.m. ET
Cleveland is 2-0 against the Sockers in 2003-04, winning those games by a combined score of 8-4. Cleveland most recently earned a 3-2 victory at San Diego Sports Arena on October 24.

St. Louis Steamers at Monterrey Fury
Monterrey Arena, 6:35 p.m. CT
The Steamers make their first-ever trip to Monterrey Arena on Sunday. St. Louis defeated Monterrey in their only meeting this season, a 4-3 win on December 13. The Fury holds a 2-6 home record entering the week.

Monterrey's Genoni Martinez, the MISL's top-scoring defender, fueled Monterrey's fourth-quarter comeback, scoring on a shootout at 3:51 and assisting on a goal by Octavio Perez with 54 seconds left to play.

Cleveland's losing streak reached three games.

Notes: Joe Reiniger scored three goals and Todd Dusosky added two goals and three assists as the Milwaukee Wave defeated the St. Louis Steamers 7-1 and moved to a perfect 9-0 at the U.S. Cellular Arena. The lone goal for the Steamers came early in the fourth period, when Steve Butcher converted a shootout attempt against Wave defender Troy Dusosky, who was in goal while starter Dan Green served a penalty. Green made six saves in securing the win for the Wave, while Brett Phillips made 13 saves for the Steamers.

Notes: Patrick Shamu scored two goals and added an assist as the Dallas Sidekicks evened their season series with the San Diego Sockers at 3-3. The victory increased the Sidekicks lead in the MISL West to three games. Sean Bowers, Mariano Bollella, and Tony Velazquez all scored goals for the Sockers. Sagu stopped 10 of 13 shots he faced, while his counterpart Victor Nogueira made 15 saves as the Sockers dropped to 10-11.

Notes: Baltimore jumped out to a quick lead on goals by Giuliano Celenza and Denison Cabral in the first quarter, which were matched by the Comets' Matt Tanzini and Dino Delevski equalizing the score at 2-2 after one. However, the Blast scored the next six goals of the game, punctuated by David Bascome's natural hat trick in the third and fourth quarters. Six other players also scored at least once as the Blast improved to 11-2 at home.

Notes: The Force dropped their second game in as many days to extend their losing streak to four games. Hector Marinaro put two goals in the net to lead the Force in the losing effort, while Joel Shanker scored two goals and added an assist for Philadelphia. Peter Pappas (12-6) earned the victory in net for Philadelphia, turning away a season-high 24 shots, while Jim Larkin (4-8) took the loss for the Force, stopping 17 of 22 chances. The KiXX are now 5-1 against Eastern Division rivals this season.

Notes: Greg Howes scored four goals and notched two assists, including the game-winner at 1:35 of the fourth quarter, to help the Milwaukee Wave defeat the Fury 9-6 in Monterrey. Howes' play was complimented by the play of Leighton O'Brien, who contributed a goal and two assists to contribute to the Wave victory. Nick Vorberg finished with 17 saves on 23 chances as the Wave improved to 17-4. Monterrey starter Hector Mireles lasted three quarters, stopping 14 of 20 shots.

Notes: A School Day crowd of 15,198, the most to attend an MISL game this season, saw the visiting Baltimore Blast score six of the game's first seven goals en route to a 10-7 win over the host Comets at Kemper Arena on Wednesday morning. The teams traded scores throughout the second as the Blast thwarted Kansas City's comeback attempts. The Blast received at least one point from 10 different players, led by Chris Handsor with a goal and two assists, while rookie Sandre Naumoski paced the Comets with three points. Scott Hileman made 22 saves, including eight in the fourth quarter, to record the victory in net.

Notes: The Blast defeated the Kansas City Comets twice last week by a combined score of 21-11 (11-4 on Saturday, 10-7 on Wednesday morning). With the wins, Baltimore has opened up a three and one-half game lead over Philadelphia in the Eastern Division. Including Wednesday's result, Carlos Farias is now tied for second in the League with 44 points, and leads the MISL with 31 assists. Farias was named the League's Offensive Player of the Month for January. Denison Cabral is sixth in points (35) and fifth in goals (22). Goalkeeper Scott Hileman leads the MISL with 17 wins, is fifth with a 4.69 goals against average, and is second with 279 saves. The Blast's only game this weekend takes place in Philadelphia against the second-place KiXX on Saturday.

Vasic is second in the MISL with 23 assists, and D'Ambra is fourth with 23 goals. Defender Pat Morris, named the MISL's Defensive Player of the Month for January, is second in the League with 46 blocks. Peter Pappas earned Goalkeeper of the Month honors for January; Pappas is third in the League in goals against average (4.48), wins (12), and saves (259), and second in save percentage at .762. The KiXX face two division leaders this week, hosting Baltimore on Saturday before traveling to Milwaukee on Sunday afternoon.

Notes: The Comets lost twice to the Baltimore Blast last week, falling 11-4 in Baltimore on Saturday and losing 10-7 in a School Day Game at Kemper Arena on Wednesday morning. The Comets are now 10 full games behind first-place Milwaukee in the Central Division, and only one-half game in front of third-place St. Louis. With Wednesday's game, Dino Delevski has recaptured the team's scoring lead with 36 points (fifth in the League) and is second in the League with 27 goals. Miodrag Djerisilo is tied for seventh with 34 points. Jeff Davis, the second-highest scoring defender in the League with 27 points, is fourth in the MISL with 40 blocks. Kansas City swings right back into action on Thursday with a crucial game in Milwaukee, then returns home to host the Dallas Sidekicks on Saturday.

Notes: Monterrey went 0-2 at home last week, falling 5-4 to Philadelphia on Thursday and 9-6 to Milwaukee on Sunday. The losses left the Fury with a 2-6 home record this season, and dropped the club eight games out of first and five games out of second in the Western Division. Genoni Martinez was named the League's Offensive Player of the Week after scoring six points in the two losses. Martinez remains the MISL's highest-scoring defender with 44 points (second overall), and he is third in the League with 43 blocks. Martinez is also third in the MISL with 24 goals and fifth with 20 assists. Marco Lopez is tied for fifth in the League with 34 points. The Fury travels to Cleveland to face the Force this Sunday, then returns home to entertain the St. Louis Steamers on Sunday.

Notes: The Sockers fell 7-3 on the road to division-leading Dallas on Saturday. San Diego enters the week three games behind the Sidekicks in the West. Goalkeeper Victor Nogueira, who has started all 21 Sockers games this season, is fourth in the League with a 4.50 goals against average. Nogueira is also fourth with a .737 save percentage, third with 1,254 minutes played, and second with 263 saves. Defender Sean Bowers leads the MISL with 63 blocks. - The MISL USA and MISL International rosters for the 2004 MISL All-Star Game were announced on Wednesday, and can be found in their entirety on www.misl.net. The Baltimore Blast led all teams with seven selections, followed by Milwaukee (six) and Philadelphia (five). Players from the United States, Canada, Brazil, Ghana, Croatia, Mexico, Trinidad, Bermuda, Macedonia, Yugoslavia, Ireland, Serbia, and Chile have all been elected to the League's showcase event.

- Fans can begin voting online at www.misl.net for the 2004 All-Star starting lineups beginning Friday, February 6.

- Michael King played his 400th game in a Milwaukee Wave uniform on Saturday, January 31, becoming the first player in franchise history to reach that milestone.

- A season-high crowd of 15,198 saw the Baltimore Blast defeat the Kansas City Comets 10-7 in a School Day Game at Kemper Arena on Wednesday morning.
