Washington Wild Things Come to Schaumburg for Weekend Series

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - Extend your Independence Day Celebration to the weekend and join the Schaumburg Boomers for a three-game set against the Washington Wild Things complete with fireworks, giveaways and more beginning on Friday, July 6 at 6:30 p.m.

If you didn't get your share patriotism on the fourth, the Boomers have you covered on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. with another Independence Day Celebration featuring a tremendous fireworks display courtesy of Melrose Pyrotechnics.

Gates open at 4 p.m. on July 7 for you to enjoy a slice of paradise in Schaumburg with a beach towel giveaway for the first 1,500 fans, live music, and cheeseburger and margarita specials for Jimmy Buffett Night. Parrothead or not, it is sure to be a tropical and fun filled night at Boomers Stadium, leaving you feeling as if you have your toes in the sand and ocean water rolling up to your ankles.

To close out the series, the Boomers will host the World's Largest Squirt Gun Fight Sunday at 1p.m.! The first 1,500 fans will be armed with Boomers Squirt Guns and everyone is invited to fire away throughout the game, as it will be a water-gun battle royale!

- FIREWORKS FRIDAY It's Friday, and you know what that means -- its Fireworks Night! And tonight, we are pulling out all the stops as we put on a fireworks display of epic proportions featuring the work of Melrose Pyrotechnics! Come on out and celebrate Independence Day, Boomers style!

- RUN THE BASES! Everyone runs the bases after the game presented by Sonic Drive-Ins.

Saturday, July 7 at 6 p.m. - JIMMY BUFFETT NIGHT and BEACH TOWEL GIVEAWAY

- BEACH TOWEL GIVEAWAY (First 1,500 fans) It's Saturday, and this week's premium giveaway is a Boomers Beach Towel! It will only add to the feeling that you are on a tropical island enjoying cheeseburger and margarita specials that would make Jimmy Buffett proud. Make sure you get to the ballpark early, as the towels are sure to go quickly.

- JIMMY BUFFETT NIGHT Nothing says paradise quite like a ballgame, so join us as we celebrate Jimmy Buffett Night with the Boomers!

- PARROTHEAD EXPRESS There will be live performance before the game! Parrothead Express features music from Jimmy Buffett, The Beach Boys, The Safaris, The Ventures, Harry Belafonte and more, but they will be exclusively Buffet on this night! They will entertain with Acapella Vocals, a Flaming Drum Stick Show and Audience Participation. Gates open at 4 p.m. for their special 4:30 p.m. performance!

Sunday, July 8 at 1 p.m. - WORLD'S LARGEST SQUIRT GUN FIGHT with SQUIRT GUN GIVEAWAY
