Washington, PA-Frontier Greys left fielder Mark Micowski's 3-4 night lifted the visitors to a 3-2 victory over the Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Financial, Wednesday night at CONSOL Energy Park.
Pitcher Gary Lee used his final start of the 2013 season to throw his most effective game of the season and record a career-high 10 strikeouts in eight innings of work for the Wild Things.
The Things' took an early lead in the first when Stewart Ijames blasted a two-run homerun, his 16th, to put the home team in front 2-0.
But, in the top of the second frame, JJ Muse hit an RBI single to make it a one-run affair.
Two innings later, Micowski, who was one-hit shy of a cycle, jacked a solo shot to knot the game at two.
Another hit by Micowski, an RBI single, scored Eric Avila, for the game's winning run.
