
Warriors to Select Second Overall in 2009 WHL Bantam Draft

The 2009 WHL Bantam Draft lottery was held today in Calgary to determine the order of the first 6 selections in the upcoming Bantam Draft. The lottery included the 6 WHL non-playoff teams (Moose Jaw, Red Deer, Regina, Portland, Chilliwack and Prince Albert).
The Moose Jaw Warriors won the 2nd overall pick for this upcoming draft.
The 1st round 6 picks of the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft will be as follows:
1. Portland
2. Moose Jaw
3. Chilliwack
4. Red Deer
5. Regina
6. Prince Albert
Players eligible for the 2009 Bantam Draft are 1994-born players who reside in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia Northwest Territories, Yukon, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
The 2009 WHL Bantam Draft will be held in Edmonton on April 30th, 2009.
