TOLEDO, OH - Daniel Ciampini scored a goal in his third consecutive game but it wasn't enough at the Toledo Walleye held off the Indy Fuel by a 2-1 count on Sunday afternoon.

After falling behind 1-0 12:07 into the first period, the Fuel responded quickly as Ciampini scored just 47 seconds later. Ben Marshall found himself in the left wing corner and centered a pass to Ciampini, who backhanded the puck past Jake Paterson (24 saves) for his 10th goal of the season.

Late in the second, Josh Shalla broke in on Keegan Asmundson (30 saves) and managed to deke the goaltender backhand-to-forehand, tucking the puck over the outstretched right pad for the game-winning goal at 17:09.

Despite a late power play for the Fuel and Asmundson on the bench for a six-on-four advantage, Indy could not find the equalizer and came away empty.

Indy will now returns home to host the Utah Grizzlies Friday night and Cincinnati Cyclones Saturday night with both games at 7:35 pm. The Morellis Cleaners Indy Fuel pregame show starts 15 minutes prior to puck drop on CBS Sports 1430.
