ECHL Announces Fine, Suspension

February 28, 2016 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release


PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Sunday announced that Wichita's Erick Lizon has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #750, Wichita at Allen, on Feb. 28.

Lizon is suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as the result of a charging penalty at 3:45 of the third period.

Lizon will miss Wichita's games at Allen today (Feb. 28) and at Missouri on March 4.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
