This Week In Condorstown:

Wednesday, Oct. 14:

Condors front office staff members Clay Waddel and Nicole Roberts will be attending the Kern High School District's Principal Partners' Day from 7:45 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Kern County school administrators will be speaking to the Condors representatives and other partnering organizations on how businesses can continue to help support the schools in Kern County.

The "Voice of the Condors" Kevin Bartl will be on KERO 23's No Bull Mornings at 6:40 a.m. talking Condors hockey.

Thursday, Oct. 15

If you don't get the chance to catch Kevin on Wednesday morning, you can hear him on KUZZ 107.9's Morning Show at 8 a.m.

Friday, Oct. 16:

The regular season kicks off with the Condors Opening Night against the Ontario Reign at Rabobank Arena at 7 p.m. Join the Anaheim Ducks Power Players and their mascot Wild Wing for a party on the plaza from 5-7 p.m. The Ducks inflatables will share the spotlight with the Condors inflatables outside the arena. Earlier in the day, honk for the Condors mascots, who will be getting people fired up for the game that night at three street corners around town from 7:30-8:30 a.m.

Saturday, Oct. 17:

The Condors and Reign continue their weekend series with a contest at 7 p.m. The first 2,000 fans 12 and under in attendance will receive a Paint Your Own Bobblehead Doll of Baby Cal.

Senior Olympics with Granbois Happy Birthday:

F Travis Granbois and G Orlando Alamano (pictured, right) marched in the Senior Olympics parade at the Rosewood Retirement Center on Friday. After the players were introduced by the MC, the crowd of more than 1,000 people sang "Happy Birthday" to Granbois, who turned 24 that day.

The week that was:

A very busy week in Condorstown, included a number of events in and around the community. Tuesday saw Col. Claw'd entertain the kids at the Williams Elementary after school program with some fun and games, including musical chairs. On Wednesday, Baby Cal participated in Rosedale North Elementary School's Celebrity Read-A-Loud event by acting out a book while it was read.

Besides the preseason game, which resulted in a 5-3 victory for the Condors over Stockton, the team was out in full force in the community. Following the Senior Olympics event on Friday morning, Col. Claw'd helped kick off the Norris Middle School assembly in the afternoon. The night was capped off when G Timo Pielmeier and F Matthew Myers were introduced at the beginning of the Highway 99 Cruise-N-Show on Chester Avenue. The weekend concluded with an appearance by Col. Claw'd at Stockdale High School on Saturday and Baby Cal winning a jump ball against Chester the Cheetah to start the League of Dreams basketball tournament on Sunday.
