Wheeling Nailers News Release
The Wheeling Nailers, the proud AA affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins, have acquired two more players to bolster their roster even further.
Defenseman Jim Sharrow and rookie right wing Pierce Norton have been added. The Nailers also announced that they have released forward Tomas Klempa and defenseman Nathan Schwartzbauer.
Jim Sharrow was a 4th round pick (#110 overall) of the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He has played the last five seasons in the AHL with Rockford, Manitoba and Chicago and also has ECHL experience with Gwinnett in 2005-06.

The Framingham, Mass. native played for the U.S. Under 18 National Team in 2001-02 and then went on to play three seasons with Halifax in the Quebec Major Junior League before turning pro.
Pierce Norton is a rookie right wing out of Providence College.
The South Boston, Mass. native was a 9th round choice (#205 overall) of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Last year with the Friars he scored 8 goals and 13 assists in 33 games. The four year letter-winner had a career best 14 goals and 24 points in 2007-08.
