WHEELING,WV - Come out and meet the 2009-2010 Wheeling Nailers on Tuesday, October 20th! The proud AA affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins will be appearing at River City Ale Works in downtown Wheeling just one block away from WesBanco Arena.
It's an open appearance available to all fans and it's time to welcome Head Coach Greg Puhalski's team to the Friendly City just 3 days before the team's home opener. Plus the River City Ale Works will have some specials for the fans. The event gets underway at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20th.
This is your chance to see returning Nailers such as Aaron Clarke, Andrew Lord, Cliff Loya and Mitch Ganzak as well as meet newcomers like Thomas Beauregard, Jordan Parise, T.J. Fox, Jordan Fox and others.
"Greg has put together a really exciting team that we know is going to have a lot of success on the ice," Nailers Vice President Craig Bommer said. "This is a great group of guys with a ton of talent who will be keeping our fans on the edge of their seats all season long. We hope a lot of fans will join us for this fun event at River City Ale Works and welcome this year's edition of the Wheeling Nailers."
The Nailers open the regular season Friday, October 16th at the South Carolina Stingrays and will also have a pair of games at the Gwinnett Gladiators on that trip on Saturday and Sunday, October 17th and 18th.
The Wheeling Nailers officially open the 2009-2010 campaign on October 16th at the South Carolina Stingrays. The home opener for the 18th season of professional hockey in the Friendly City is October 23rd when the Nailers host the Cincinnati Cyclones.
