Roanoke Valley Vipers News Release
ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Valley Vipers, member of the United Hockey League (UHL), announced today that they will partner with Toys for Tots to hold a Teddy Bear Toss at their game on Saturday, December 10, when they play host to the Elmira Jackals.
All fans attending the Saturday night game are asked to bring a new, unwrapped stuffed animal or toy to the game to be donated to Toys for Tots. Anyone bringing a toy or stuffed animal will receive a coupon for 10% off any merchandise purchase that night, as well as a registration form to enter a drawing to win a team-autographed jersey.
Toys will be collected at various entrances and locations throughout the arena, and the teddy bear toss will take place as soon as the Vipers score their first goal. Fans who brought teddy bears to donate will toss them out onto the ice to be collected at that time.
"We hope our fans will all pitch in and make this big, and give some kids in need in our community a big Christmas," said team owner and governor Kristen Dixon.
Fans, this is your chance to support those in need right here in the Roanoke Valley. Come out and cheer on your Vipers, and help our less fortunate neighbors at the same time! What better time to get some holiday shopping out of the way? Use your 10% off coupon at the Vipers merchandise stand to purchase some Vipers merchandise for the people on your list this year!
