Rio Grande Valley Vipers News Release
MCALLEN, TEXAS - The defending NBA Development League champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced Wednesday that, if they beat the Iowa Energy on February 2, all fans in attendance will win tickets to the next Vipers home game.
The first-ever Double-Win Wednesday begins at 7:00 p.m. at State Farm Arena. Doors open at 6:00.
If the Vipers win, fans can exchange their ticket stubs for tickets to the Vipers game against the Austin Toros on Wednesday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m. at State Farm Arena. Only tickets that have been used will be eligible for trade-in. Some restrictions may apply to the location of the seats for the February 16 game.
The Vipers are 11-2 at State Farm Arena this season and 13-2 in the Rio Grande Valley. The Vipers are winners of six-straight home games and eight-straight in the Rio Grande Valley. The Vipers have the best home record in the league for the second-straight season. The Vipers are currently on a franchise-record 10-game winning streak. At 17-7, the Vipers have the third-best record in the NBA Development League and sit in second place in the Western Conference standings, two games behind the Tulsa 66ers.
"We've been winning a lot lately, and we want our fans to benefit from our success on the court, the way our players benefit from them. We have the best fans in the league, and that has contributed greatly to out great home court advantage. The Iowa Energy are a very good team, but so are we, and with the help of our rabid fans, I have no doubt that we can accomplish our goal of winning twice on Wednesday," Vipers President Bert Garcia said.
There will be concessions specials throughout the game, including hot dogs, popcorn and soda for $1.00 each as well as beer for $1.50.
Fans can enter the game for free by donating to the Hoops Against Hunger food drive. Every donation of four non-perishable food items will be rewarded with one free ticket.
