ERIE ‚¬â„¢S GARRETT TEMPLE SIGNS WITH MILWAUKEE BUCKS

The Milwaukee Bucks signed guard Garrett Temple of the Erie BayHawks for the fifth GATORADE Call-Up of the 2010-11 NBA Development League season. Temple ‚¬â„¢s call-up increases the number of current NBA players with NBA D-League experience, including players currently on assignment to their NBA D-League affiliates, to 83. In 18 total games (11 starts) this season with Erie and the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Temple averaged 13.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists. Temple (6-5, 180) is a second-year pro out of LSU who earned three GATORADE Call-Ups to the NBA last season. In 30 games with the Houston Rockets, Sacramento Kings and San Antonio Spurs, Temple averaged 4.6 points and 1.1 rebounds in 11.8 minutes. Over four years at LSU, Temple averaged 6.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 134 games and was named to the SEC All-Defensive Team in 2008.

SAN ANTONIO ASSIGNS JAMES ANDERSON TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE AUSTIN TOROS

San Antonio Spurs guard James Anderson was assigned to the Austin Toros, the Spurs ‚¬â„¢ NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced today. The assignment marks the 33rd time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the first assignment for Anderson, a rookie out of Oklahoma State. Anderson (6-6, 215) has appeared in six games this season for the Spurs, averaging 7.0 points, 1.5 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 17.7 minutes. Anderson, whom the Spurs selected in the first round (20th overall) of the 2010 NBA Draft, has been out since Nov. 11 with a right foot injury. The 2010 Big 12 Player of the Year, Anderson averaged 17.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 101 games in a three-year career at Oklahoma State.

RENO TRADES EWING TO SIOUX FALLS FOR GREEN

The Reno Bighorns traded forward Patrick Ewing, Jr. to the Sioux Falls Skyforce in exchange for Danny Green, a second-round pick (46th overall) of the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2009. Green, who was a member of the 2009 NCAA Champion North Carolina Tar Heels, is the winningest player in UNC history. He is also the only player in ACC history with 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 250 assists, 150 three-pointers, 150 blocks and 150 steals. Ewing, Jr. had started Reno ‚¬â„¢s first 25 games before coming off the bench Sunday at Iowa. He was averaging 15.8 points and 8.4 rebounds with Reno. He also has recorded eight double-doubles this season, good for 10th in the league.
