BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (11-4), the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, obtained a 140-120 victory over the Birmingham Squadron (8-7) on Saturday at Legacy Arena at the BJCC.

Seven of the 10 players that appeared in tonight's game for the Vipers reached double digits in scoring. Marcus Foster paved the way for RGV as he posted 22 points. Mfiondu Kabengele reached a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Houston Rockets Two-Way player Trevelin Queen totaled 21 points, five rebounds and eight assists. Gerald Green (18 points), Christian Vital (16 points) and Tyler Bey (14 points) came off the bench to score a combined 48 points. Houston Rockets Two-Way player Daishen Nix rounded up the list with 14 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Birmingham's Joe Young dominated the game with 26 points. Darius Adams contributed 18 points, five rebounds and eight assists. Both Zach Hankins and John Petty Jr. added 16 points each. New Orleans Pelicans assignee Zylan Cheatham obtained a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

RGV will travel to Sioux Falls, S.D. for a two-game series against the Sioux Falls Skyforce. The first game will take place on Tuesday, February 15 at Sandford Pentagon. The game is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. CST. For more information visit www.rgvipers.com.
