PORTLAND, ME - The Boston Celtics announced after last night's game that the team has signed Sam Hauser.
Hauser, a 6-7 rookie, had previously been on a Two-Way contract. While on that deal, he played in 20 games this season for the Maine Celtics. Hauser averaged 19.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, while shooting 42.4% from three-point range. Hauser twice surpassed 30 points in a single game, including Sunday's game against Grand Rapids, his most recent game with Maine.
While on the Two-Way contract, Hauser has played in 10 games for the Boston Celtics, averaging 1.2 points, 0.6 rebounds, and 0.1 assists per game.
