Wednesday, February 21, 2007 -- 7:05 p.m.
vs Las Vegas Wranglers
Game one of a three-game series
LAST GAME vs Las Vegas: Victoria faced the bright lights of Vegas on Tuesday, January 9th in the fourth meeting of the season. The Wranglers scored at 4:57 into the first period and took the 1-0 lead. Joe Tallari found a loose puck in front of the crease and poked it past rookie Goaltender Bryan Bridges. Still in the first, during a 4-on-4 series, Kiel McLeod nabbed his own faceoff win and stepped to the net with a backhand shot past Netminder Kevin Nastiuk for the tie.
Victoria scored the only goal in the second period. Defenseman Seamus Young gave the Salmon Kings the lead, and Matt Kelly tallied the insurance goal in the third period for Victoria's third win at the Orleans Arena this season. Bryan Bridges earned a 0.944 save percentage.

LEAVING LAS VEGAS This is the first time this season the Salmon Kings have welcomed the Wranglers to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre... Wes Goldie and Kiel McLeod each have two goals and two assists in four games versus Las Vegas...F.P. Guenette has two goals and one assist in four games versus Las Vegas...The Salmon Kings powerplay was 31.2% efficient and their penalty kill was 94.4% efficient in last week's series versus Stockton...Wes Goldie posted two goals in game three of the series to become the Salmon Kings leading goal scorer in club history (32 goals).
