
ValleyCats to Kick-Off July With a Bang

TROY, N.Y. - For the next three days, the Tri-City ValleyCats will bring patriotism and celebration to the Capital Region. During the âCats July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th games, the team will celebrate the best that the United States has to offer including a salute to veterans and troops. A spectacular fireworks display will follow each game.
The ValleyCats will kickoff their patriotic home stand against the Jamestown Jammers on Wednesday, July 2 when the team hosts Veterans Night at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. All veterans who present identification will be given free tickets to the 7 p.m. game. The next night's game will serve as United States Army Night and will also be played at 7 p.m. Members of the military will get into the game for free and players will don camouflage uniforms in honor of American troops. These game-worn jerseys will be available in an online auction following the game. The series will conclude on the Fourth of July at 7 p.m. Over the past six years, the Independence Day game has been host to huge crowds and exciting baseball. Each game will be topped off by a post-game fireworks show.
