
Unrelenting Tribe Stems Tides in Series Win

INDIANAPOLIS - Alen Hanson's two-run single capped a four-run sixth inning and the Indianapolis Indians took three of four from the Norfolk Tides with an 8-5 victory on Sunday afternoon at Victory Field.
Each of the Tribe's (22-16) first six batters reached safely to open the decisive inning with five singles and a bases-loaded walk. Gorkys Hernandez picked up Brent Morel on a line drive to left, Andy Vasquez worked a five-pitch walk and Hanson broke the game open with the first of his two hits against the Tides (20-17).
The top prospect Hanson has now hit safely in 12 of 15 games this month with a .333 average (20-for-60) and seven RBIs.
Starter Adrian Sampson (3-3) earned his third straight win with two earned runs over six innings of work.
Closer Blake Wood struck out two in the ninth to pick up his league-leading 10th save on the season.
