Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders News Release

Durham, N.C. - Rob Refsnyder launched a pair of home runs and Miguel Sulbaran authored a successful debut as the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) shutout the Durham Bulls 5-0 on Sunday afternoon at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The RailRiders (20-18) finished off a four-game sweep of the Bulls (20-18) and earned their second shutout victory of 2015.

Sulbaran (1-0) weaved together five scoreless innings while yielding five hits. He walked two and struck out three. Everett Teaford (2-3) shouldered the loss for Durham after allowing five runs on eight hits over five innings. He surrendered three home runs.

Refsnyder tallied the RailRiders' first run on a towering blast over the high, blue wall in left-center. Nick Noonan singled home Rob Segedin following a double in the second inning for a 2-0 lead. Ramon Flores reached on a one-out hit in the fifth and came around on Refsnyder's second round-tripper, this one clanging off the left field foul pole. Kyle Roller made it back-to-back jacks when the first baseman lined his team-leading seventh home run over the fence in the right-field corner to cap the scoring.

The RailRiders return home on Monday, May 18 to start a seven-game homestand with the first of three against the Charlotte Knights (Chicago White Sox). SWB is slated to start southpaw Matt Tracy (0-0, 3.50) against right-hander Junior Guerra (0-1, 2.45). It will be a Dollar Dog Night with all hot dogs priced at $1.
