Two More Walleye Players to the AHL

(Toledo, OH) - Forward Louis-Marc Aubry has been reassigned by the NHL's Detroit Red Wings to the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins. Goaltender Hannu Toivonen has been loaned to the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL.

Aubry is currently on a six game point streak in which he has four goals and five assists and has 14 points (7g, 7a) in 18 games in Toledo. Since drafted by Detroit in the 3rd Round of the 2010 NHL Draft, Aubry has appeared in 130 professional games with the Griffins, collecting nine goals, 19 assists and 114 penalty minutes. The 6'4", 213 pound forward was a member of the 2013 Calder Cup Championship team, appearing in 14 playoff games.

Toivonen has won his last three starts with the Walleye and has posted a 7-8-0 record, 3.66 goals against average and a .899 save percentage. He was a runner up for ECHL goaltender of the week after going 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .955 SVP over the weekend. The 29-year-old goaltender appeared in 61 games at the NHL level with Boston and St. Louis. In 2005-2006 with the Bruins, Toivonen posted a record of 9-5-4 with a 2.63 goals against average and a .914 save percentage. The 6'2", 208 pound goaltender has also skated in 209 career AHL games, with a career record of 96-82-15, a 2.50 GAA and .914 SVP.
