
Kalamazoo adds defenseman Jarrett Rush

Kalamazoo, MI- Getting ready to start a three-game home stand later tonight versus the Fort Wayne Komets, the Kalamazoo Wings have signed defenseman Jarrett Rush.
Rush joins the K-Wings after starting this season in the Southern Professional Hockey League, where he was team captain of the Peoria Rivermen. Rush has earned six points (1 goal, 5 assists) in 27 games in Peoria. Last season, Rush was well traveled playing for five teams including four (Colorado, Elmira, Orlando and South Carolina) ECHL clubs. The native of Pennington, New Jersey finished last season in Colorado, where he played in 28 regular season and three playoffs contests for the Eagles.
Before turning pro, Rush played four seasons of college hockey, primarily with Curry College, where he was team captain. Rush also played two seasons of junior hockey with the Cobourg Cougars (OPJHL) and Traverse City North Stars (NAHL).
In a separate transaction, the K-Wings have placed forward Ludwig Blomstrand on the 21-day injured reserve list, retroactive starting on January 12th.
Kalamazoo will commence the week tonight Wednesday, January 15th with a 7 p.m. face-off versus the Fort Wayne Komets. This evening will be a 5:01 Wednesday featuring $2 beer, $2 hot dogs and $1 Pepsi products. Doors will open to the public for a business social at 5 p.m.
All Wednesday games this season are "Winning Wednesday's" presented by WNWN. If the K-Wings win, all fans in attendance will receive a FREE voucher for a ticket to the game on Wednesday, February 5th.
Tickets for all K-Wings home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000 . Ticket office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays.
Regular season ticket prices for home games are $13 and $17.50 for adults and only $7 for kids ages 12 and under. The price for all K-Wings premium night games (all colored ice games) are just $1 more. Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single-game tickets in advance. Tickets purchased on the day of a game increase by $2 (adults only).
Fans that plan on attending multiple games can avoid service fees plus enjoy a discount from the single-game price by purchasing a 12, 24 or 36-game flexi-plan. These plans, along with Fan Packs and group ticket packages may be ordered through the K-Wings Sales office by calling (269) 743-6011 .
