
Two Former Wings Face Each Other

Two former Aberdeen Wings players face off Friday night in collegiate hockey. Nebraska-Omaha beat Michigan 3-2.
Former Wings forward Justin Parizek, now with Omaha-Nebraska and former Wings goalie Zach Nagelvoort, now with the Michigan Wolverines faced each other Friday night in Omaha. In the second period, Nebraska-Omaha forward Dominic Zombo scored on Nagelvoort. Michigan would answer in the 2nd period with goals from Luke Moffatt and JT Compher. In the third period, Parizek would help Nebraska-Omaha get on the board with an assist to Aaron Pearce. The UNO Mavs would add another goal from Josh Archibald to seal the deal leading the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks to a 3-2 win over the Michigan Wolverines.
Justin Parizek, forward for the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks played for the Aberdeen Wings during the 2012-2013 season and part of the 2011-2012 season after coming over from the BCHL. In his final season with the Wings, Parizek recorded 19 goals and 34 assists in 57 games. Parizek has played in 9 games with Nebraska-Omaha recording 2 assists.
Zach Nagelvoort, goalie for the Michigan Wolverines played for the Aberdeen Wings during the 2012-2013 season. He played in 10 games for the Wings where he recorded an 8-1-1 record while only allowing a 1.66 goals against average and recorded a .949% save percentage. Currently Nagelvoort has played in 7 games for Michigan with a record of 4-2-1 and has earned Big 10 Player of the Week honors twice.
