After a thrilling win Friday night, which saw the Wings scoring with one second left in the game to tie it up and winning in a shootout, Saturday night was all about offense for the Wings. In the first period, at the 8:32 mark the Wings got on the board with a power play goal from #19 Colin O'Neill (F-Odenton, MD) scoring his first goal of the season. The assists came from #11 TJ Roo (F-Champlain Park, MN) and #21 Bjorn Sigurdarson (F-Reykjavik, Iceland). Aberdeen would take the 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
In the second period, at the 3:34 mark #25 Lennart Palausch (F-Mannheim, Germany) would increase the lead to 2-0 with an assist from #11 TJ Roo. After Aberdeen's Horton and Minnesota's McKenzie would get into a tilt, at the 16:35 mark #16 Kyle Haak (F-Okemos, MI) would find the back of the net with an assist from #11 TJ Roo, his third assist in the game.
