
Warriors sweep weekend home series vs. Eagles with 4-0 shutout

Cody Lichtenvoort scored 2 goals, and Zack Szajner and A.J. Marcinek each scored on consecutive nights as the Michigan Warriors swept their home series vs. the Soo Eagles.
Goaltender Trevor Gorsuch stopped all 17 Eagle shots to earn the shutout.
Marcinek (4) opened the scoring at 7:08 of the first, with Lichtenvoort (3,4) adding his first of two goals at the 11:50 mark to end scoring in the first stanza. Lichtenvoort then netted his 2nd of the game at the 15:04 mark of the 2nd, with Szajner (5) closing out the scoring at 18:01 of the 2 nd.
Soo goaltender Colin Brennan stopped 28 shots in a losing effort, while his Warriors counterpart Gorsuch stopped all 17 to earn his 5th victory on the season.
The Warriors face the Eagles on the road on Wednesday Nov 20. They then return to Perani Arena and Events Center for 2 games on Friday and Saturday November 22 & 23 to play host to the Wenatchee Wild, with 7PM face-off both nights.
