Two Defensemen to the AHL Jensen off to Grand Rapids; Sinkewich to Lake Erie

(Toledo, OH) - Defenseman Nick Jensen has been reassigned by the Detroit Red Wings of the NHL to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL. Defenseman Russ Sinkewich has signed a player tryout agreement with the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL.

Sinkewich has appeared in all 15 games for Toledo this year, collecting five assists and 21 penalty minutes. The native of Westlake, Ohio has skated with Lake Erie, Milwaukee, Abbotsford, Bridgeport, and Portland in the AHL over his professional career. In 62 career AHL game, Sinkewich has six assists and 47 penalty minutes. Lake Erie skates in Hamilton tonight.

Jensen has dressed the last three games for Toledo with no points and four shots on goal. It was the first action of the season for the native of Roger, Minnesota. The Grand Rapids Griffins host the Texas Stars tonight.
