WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah - The San Francisco Bulls (6-12-1-1) scored first, but ultimately faltered in a 5-2 loss to the Utah Grizzlies (6-8-1-1), Saturday night at the Maverik Center. Tyler Gron, Jordan Morrison and Brett Findlay extended their four-game point streaks, but it wasn't enough as the Bulls earned a split it Utah over the weekend.

The two teams skated to a scoreless stand-still after 20 minutes of play. J.P. Anderson made 13 saves for the Bulls, while Igor Bobkov stopped seven for the Grizzlies. Kris Belan and Luke Judson dropped the gloves with Teigan Zahn and Channing Boe, respectively.

Kyle Bodie broke the stalemate, 4:21 in to the second period, handing the Bulls the lead by beating Utah goalkeeper Igor Bobkov with a power play strike. Morrison and Collin Bowman picked up assists on Bodie's first goal as a member of the Bulls. Utah responded with an even strength tally by Vinny Scarsella with 7:58 left in the frame, then added a power play goal by Mathieu Aubin in the closing half-minute. Each teams managed 12 shots on goal in the period.

Aubin added a second with 7:17 left in regulation but Findlay would cut the lead to 3-2 just 26 seconds later. Gron and Dean Ouellet assisted on the goal. Michael Pelech added an insurance goal with 5:22 and Danick Paquette scored the dagger on the empty net for the final score of 5-2. The Bulls were out-shot by Utah 40-25.

The Bulls continue their five-game road trip, heading to Ontario for a pair on Friday and Saturday night before a Sunday matinee in Las Vegas.
