Bristol, Virginia - Four singles, including two from Will Holland, were the extent of the Elizabethton Twin offense Saturday night, as the Twins fell to the Bristol Pirates 1-0.
Three of the four singles, Holland's first plus base knocks from Trevor Jensen and Willie Joe Garry Jr., came with two outs, but the Twins could never mover a runner past second base.
Prelander Berroa pitched the first five innings for Elizabethton, holding Bristol scoreless and allowing just three hits and two walks while striking out five.
Denny Bentley entered the game after him, giving up a run in the sixth inning and following with two scoreless innings to try and keep the Twins in the game.
For Bentley, the loss was his first of the season and the defeat moved the Twins to a 20-17 record on the season. The E-Twins and BriBucs will face off in the third and final game of the series Sunday at 5 p.m. with Ryley Widell starting for Elizabethton.
