The 2024-25 Ontario Hockey League pre-season is just under 48 hours away, and the Soo Greyhounds roster has been set.
Earlier tonight Training Camp 2024 officially came to a close with Team Red defeating Team White 3-2 (prior to the shootout) in the 13th Annual Luke WIlliams Memorial Red & White Game.
Following the contest, Greyhounds' General Manager Kyle Raftis and accompanying staff reduced the team's active roster down to twenty-five (25) players.
Remaining with the club are:
GOALIES (3) - Charlie Schenkel, Landon Miller, Reid Thomas
DEFENCEMAN (8) - Keegan Gillen Caeden Carlisle, Charles Ashcroft, David Holub, Hunter Solomon, Andrew Gibson, Brodie McConnell-Barker, Spencer Evans
FORWARDS (14) - Carson Andrew, Brady Smith, Erik Muxlow, Justin Cloutier, Marco Mignosa, Julian Fantino, Tate Vader, Justin DeZoete, Travis Hayes, Nolan Long, Sam Bowness, Brady Martin, Christopher Brown, Owen Allard
Over the past twenty-four hours (prior to and following Red & White game) 29 players were released/re-assigned to other programs. Those players are: Sydney Loreto, Jordan McLoed, Logan Heideman, Alexander Kyriacou, Shea Crewson, Joshua Caloiero, Andrew Castiglione, Justin Coassais, Mason Janicki, Sam Pye, Cade Kinnear, Chase Bailey-Reid, Aaron Dukeshire, Zack Irvin, Isaiah Allen, Parker Evans, James Elliott, Joey Martin, Colton Bain, Carter Fogarty, Kalyn McQueen, Nathan Seed, Michael Zuyev, Ethan Mann, Lucas Lagoutte, Owen Kelly, John Collins-Williams, Ricky Wilson, Ryan Scriven.
The Hounds will now quickly enter exhibiton play when they host the Sudbury Wolves this coming Sunday, September 1st.
Game time is 2:07 PM at the GFL Memorial Gardens.
